Eugene Cyril “Geno” Smith III, is currently an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). Born in Miami, Florida, Smith played football for West Virginia University from 2009 to 2012 and was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. At West Virginia University, Geno was a three-year starting quarterback, starting 26 straight games. He finished his career at WVU as the school’s all-time leader for career completions, touchdown passes and passing yards.
